A very easy recipe for a delicious treat
Preheat the oven to 150ºC
1¼ cups cake flour
1¼ cups oats
1¼ cups desiccated coconut
1 cup brown sugar
5 tsp golden syrup or honey
½ cup margarine
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
4 TSP water
¼ tsp cinnamon
Mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl.
Melt the margarine together with the golden syrup. Mix the bicarb with the water and add to the melted butter mixture.
Add the melted mixture to the dry ingredients and mix well.
Press the mixture into a 20cm by 20cm tin.
Bake for 20 minutes, until golden brown in colour. Remove the crunchies, cut into the square sizes you want and put back into the warm oven for a couple of minutes to dry out(leave the door open with the oven off)
